Not one, not two – but three fantastic events await you in September:
First the Food & Drink Fortnight gets underway, including tastings of bread, cheese, herbal teas & whisky, a vegetarian cooking demonstration, seed saving talk and special menus – see our dedicated page for more information on events (16 so far)
Then on Sept 25th we have our second Harvest Feast, this year in the grounds of Clarendon House, Manse Road. Tickets are on sale now, via outlets listed below - click here for more information.
Our Feast day Finale will be a Community Ceilidh (an empty marquee was too good an opportunity to miss!) – so come & join us for a jolly evening – Tickets £8 available from Blast-off Books, The Linlithgow Bookshop, The Line Gallery, Epulum and the Eco Advice Centre.
We now have our apple press and provided more than 250 tastings of freshly pressed juice at our Farmers’ Market stall on Aug 28th – please get in touch if you’re interested in using it.
If you’re wondering what you should be doing in the garden now things have turned a bit cooler, check out our Sept-Nov Advice Notes - including tips on harvesting, autumn planting & soil improvement
Finally, our events don’t stop at the end of this month – keep an eye on our Events page for future happenings – our final foraging walk of the year with Margaret Lear will be on Oct 2nd, there are spaces on the Introduction to Permaculture day (if you’ve ever wondered what Permaculture is, this could be the time to find out!) and we’re taking part in the Linlithgow Book Festival at the end of October.
Happy munching & look forward to seeing you at the Feast or one of the many other events!
